MENUS & PLACECARDS
For Passover in 2024, I helped my family design the menus and placecards used by our guests. I often call Passover the “Jewish Thanksgiving”: Passover as a holiday celebrates freedom and expresses gratitude, centered around a hearty feast. The ceremony on Passover is called a Seder, which comes from a Hebrew word meaning “order”. As a precursor to the meal, a story of freedom is told via songs, passages, and psalms—all arranged in a strictly-followed order, which is how the ceremony received its name.
For the design of the menu, I steered towards a soft art deco style. I utilized a gradient for the header, and geometric shapes to create space for the body of text. My font choice was an intent to emulated splendor.
